Thanks Honey!

Honey and its Healing Powers

By Krysta Bell

Based on my research, honey helps the healing process!

Burns

When I get a burn, I put a layer of honey on it.

I usually lick off the excess and leave a thin layer.

It takes away the searing pain.

Sometimes instantly and sometimes within a few minutes.

Often times it does not even blister.

This works so well that my kids didn't know what a burn felt like until they where teenagers.

Sore Muscles

Warm honey water puts me to sleep.

When I wake, my muscles feel well rested and not as tense.

Migraines

When I get a migraine,

a tablespoon of honey every 15 minutes helps put me to sleep.

I wake with a dull mind and mild pressure in my head,

but the pain is now tolerable. This works every time for me,

but I have known people for whom it does not work for.

Insomnia

If I am not sleeping well,

warm honey water puts me to sleep nicely and I wake up alert.

Headaches

When I get a headache,

warm honey water sooths my aching head.

For me, this works about 8 out of 10 times.

Honey is a great healer because it supplies my blood stream

with minerals and sugar to carry them where my body needs.

I believe that thinking positively about healing my ailment,

will help the molecules in my body to

work quicker and more efficiently.

(That is my theory anyway)

*Do not feed honey to children under 1 year old!*
